As part of their journey to develop the new T Level in Building Services Engineering for Construction, Equdas and EAL have announced their first consultation is now live. As part of the consultation, they have requested feedback on the proposed amendments to core content.
Julie Rees, Qualification Development Officer at WJEC Eduqas, said:
“We have hit a key milestone in the creation of the next generation of this innovative, inclusive, and engaging qualification. This consultation offers an important opportunity for providers with knowledge and experience of the current qualification to comment on our proposals.
Throughout the development process, we will actively engage with a broad range of stakeholders, including educationalists and construction sector specialists who will offer constructive feedback to ensure our qualification is fit for purpose.
I strongly encourage you to feedback on our proposals, to ensure we capture a broad range of opinions, that will allow us to create a qualification which will meet the needs of learners and industry.”
This consultation applies to the T Level in Building Services Engineering for Construction which will be available for teaching from September 2025.
Following on from this consultation, they will be seeking views on the assessment of the qualification, in the coming weeks.
The consultation will close on 29 September 2024 with feedback from centres delivering the existing T level and practitioners within the sector required.
