Hadden Construction appoints administrators

Hadden Construction has appointed administrators, Alvarez & Marsal, meaning activities at the company’s sites will cease, pending a review of works in progress.

This will affect projects at various stages, including new affordable housing in Newtyle, the university of Stirling’s Muirhead House refurbishment, the Ferguson Veterinary Clinic in Bankhead and the Edward Lawson Centre in Wishaw.

The building contractor covered projects from residential developments to commercial and public sector buildings, such as schools and healthcare facilities.

66 members of staff have been made redundant citing inflation in materials prices, rising labour costs and supply chain interruptions as the main reasons for its closure.
