Apprenticeship Funding Band increase

Skills England has advised TESP that the Secretary of State has accepted its funding recommendation of £23,000 for the Installation & Maintenance Electrician apprenticeship. This represents an increase of £3000 on the current funding band.

The minimum 30-day period for switchover has been agreed, with the new version in place from 20 July 2025. We are advised that providers who enrol candidates now but do not yet register them on the ILR, will be able to transfer across to access the new funding band.

Please note that if candidates are registered on the ILR before the switchover, you will not be able to transfer them over to the increased funding band.

TESP would like to thank the employers and providers who worked with us to develop the evidence base to achieve this. It is a very good result in the current climate.
