myenergi zappi GLO achieves CoP11 approval

zappi GLO, the plug-and-go compact EV charger developed by smart home energy technology manufacturer myenergi, has officially achieved Code of Practice (CoP) 11 approval.

Attaining the accreditation means that the device meets the high standards required for flexible energy use in the UK, certifying the charger for behind-the-meter energy measurement. This allows users to earn rewards through myenergi’s Gridpay service, offering a much sought-after route into the flexibility markets, where homes and businesses are paid to adjust their energy usage at specific times to help manage network constraints.

Gridpay is myenergi’s free, automated demand-side response (DSR) initiative that pays homeowners to help stabilise the grid. Users simply specify their charging preferences and tariff via the myenergi app, with Gridpay shifting loads and adjusting charging sessions during peak demand without requiring manual user action.

By signing up to Gridpay, zappi owners can earn more than £100 per year while simultaneously working to balance the grid.

Only a handful of EV chargers are CoP11 approved, including the myenergi zappi 2.1, which achieved certification back in 2025. zappi 2.1 was also the first device on the market to trade under the P415 regulation, allowing households to take an active role in national energy balancing (a task previously limited to large industrial sites).
