Electrical Industries Charity celebrates 120 years

September 29, 2025

On 10th September, the Electrical Industries Charity (EIC) celebrated EIC Day, marking the anniversary of our founding. This year’s celebrations were extra special, celebrating 120 years of EIC supporting the people in our industry through life’s challenges.

EIC Day honours the incredible journey that began with 10 pioneers, each contributing £10 to help those in need within the electrical industry – a marker that just £10 can make a whole lot of difference to those in need. That’s why we asked our supporters to participate in our “Power of Ten” campaign.

The EIC would like to thank every individual who showed their support and got involved by entering our £10 raffle, donating and completing their own challenges. Your support has meant we can continue to offer vital services to anyone in our industry who needs help.

The proceeds raised from the #PowerofTen campaign allow us to provide vital support services to struggling families, essential training and upskilling for industry workers and apprentices, mental health support for colleagues who have fallen on dark times, and so much more.

We would also like to thank our amazing sponsors who kindly donated prizes for our raffle: Aico, CEF, Hager, Schneider Electric, and WAGO. Without their generosity and support for the cause, none of this would have been possible.

Although EIC Day has been and gone, there are still three months left in the year to show support for our 120 campaign and help us reach our goal of raising £120,000. There’s still time to share our campaign, organise your own fundraiser, or donate £10.
