£1.3bn decarbonising and fire safety deals out for bid

Housing procurement group, the South East Consortium, has opened the bidding to find contractors for two major frameworks, as reported by Construction Enquirer.

The biggest is for spots on a £1bn decarbonising partnerships framework designed to dovetail with Government social housing funding requirements with works encompassing all aspects of decarbonising the housing social housing stock.

Tenderers should base their framework pricing on working in Greater London with bids due by 9 April for opening on 14 April.

The housing associations and local authorities-owned procurement body is also on the hunt for contractors and manufacturers to join a new Fire Remedial Works Framework to tackle building safety retrofits in the social housing sector, covering fire door replacement and active and passive fire protection, estimated to be worth up to £300m over four years.

Bids are due back by 14 April with the framework going live in October.
